About Dr. Hawk

Cheryl Hawk, DC, PhD, CHES, is a member and former cochair of the Research Working Group of the Academic Collaborative for Integrative Health. Her published work includes more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and she is the lead author of Health Promotion and Wellness: An Evidence-Based Guide to Clinical Preventive Services. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences and practiced full time for 12 years. In 1991, she earned a doctorate in preventive medicine from the University of Iowa.

She is the author of two new books: Careers in Chiropractic Health Care and The Praeger Handbook of Chiropractic Health Care.
