The best kids book for chiropractors - Give Me Back My Bones!

My oldest son was born on Halloween, so he gets gifts and everyone gets candy on his special day. One of my favorite of his gifts this year was a book from his grandparents called Give Me Back My Bones! by Kim Norman. This is a clever story about the remnants of a pirate under the sea which also teaches kids some basic osteology.

A stormy night has passed here
and toppled every mast here.
The ocean flowing fast here,
has scattered all my bones!

My son had me read it three times in a row during our first sitting, and he even grabbed our decorative skeleton to hold in his lap and find the bones as we learned about them. I never thought I'd hear my three year old saying scapula, clavicle, and fibula!

Help me find my head bone,
my pillowed-on-the-bed bone,
the pirate's flag-of-dread bone –
I'm scouting out my skull.

The story isn't strictly Halloween-themed, so this book is perfect to leave out in your waiting room year round.

Get the hardcover on Amazon or the Kindle version for just 99¢ (best read on an iPad, according to grandma).

I have a sinking suspicion the illustrator dedicated this book to a friend who is a chiropractor…

The illustrator’s dedication of Give Me Back My Bones! is to “Olivia, who helps put lots of bones back where they belong.”
