Must Read Books for Chiropractic Students

Following up on my list of 5 Must Read Books for Pre-Chiropractic Students, I thought I'd share some suggestions for books to read while you're in school.

Now, I've been there. I get that between studying for boards, midterms, and prepping for OSCEs, you don't have much time for leisure reading. And when you do, you sure as hell don't want to read more books related to chiropractic. You need some time to vedge on Game of Thrones or the latest business guru's manifesto.

I totally get it. These books aren't going to help you pass boards, or biochem, or anatomy. In fact, the ideas in these books may actually make you start to seriously question the basic sciences you're learning and how relevant they are to patient care. This is a good thing.

The truth is that in our chiropractic programs we are only exposed to a portion of the ways to approach clinical cases. The best quickest way to broaden our perspectives is by reading about different approaches.

Don't be misled - reading books alone will not make you a better student or clinician. But it is an efficient way to introduce yourself to novel ideas, assessment methods, and even complete paradigms.
